Itinerary : 7-Day Essential Nepal Trip

Duration : 7 Days

Meal/s: No Meal

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel.

This afternoon, a walking tour of medieval Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is the cultural heart of the city.

Later, a tour of 2,500-year-old Swoyambhunath Stupa, one of the city’s most recognizable sites.

Accommodation in Kathmandu

Meal/s: Breakfast 

After breakfast, tour the most sacred Hindu site of Pashupatinath temple complex.

After the visit continue on to the biggest Stupa of  Boudhanath.

Afternoon, drive outside the valley to visit Bhaktapur, the third largest town in Kathmandu Valley famous for its string of temples, monasteries, courtyards, and monumental squares.

Accommodation in Kathmandu

Meal/s: Breakfast 

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara City.

Pokhara is the second most famous destination after Kathmandu. At 850 meters, Pokhara enjoys a mild climate and a magnificent view of the Himalaya.

Upon arrival in Pokhara transfer to the hotel. Later evening, stroll around the famous lakeside area.

Accommodation in Pokhara

Meal/s: Breakfast, lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, 40 minutes drive to Kande (trek start point).

This is a scenic drive and during the clear days, you will see the unobstructed views of beautiful terraced hills and Annapurna Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kande commence your trek to Australian Camp (2 hr walk).

During this hike, you will come up close to the mountain people and culture.

Accommodation in a local lodge at Australian camp

Meal/s: Breakfast, Lunch

Early morning, beautiful sunrise view over the mountains.

After breakfast hike down to Dhampus village which is the largest Gurung settlement in the Annapurna region. Continue your hike down to Phedi drive back to Pokhara and transfer to the hotel.

Later afternoon, sightseeing tour of Pokhara town including Davi Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev cave, Binde Basini temple, Barahi Temple, and Seti River. Later, commence one hour of boating on Fewa Lake.

Accommodation in Pokhara

Meal/s: Breakfast, Cultural Dinner

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu retracing the same highway.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.

Evening, transfer to an authentic Nepali restaurant for a farewell dinner with cultural shows from different ethnic groups of Nepal. Later, transfer back to the hotel.

Free till departure. transfer to the airport to connect your onward flight.

Yes, there are direct international flights to Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu from several major cities, including:

Nepal does not lie on a major global transit route, so flight prices can be relatively high, especially during peak tourist seasons (March–May and October–November). It’s recommended to book early to secure better deals.

2. Do I need a visa to visit Nepal?

Yes, most foreign nationals (except Indian passport holders) need a visa to enter Nepal. Tourist visas are available on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and at certain land border points.
