This 7-day Nepal Buddhist pilgrimage tour will take you to some of the world’s best Buddhist sites in the alluring Himalayan destination of Nepal. On this tour, you will visit some of the sacred religious sites across the country. You will visit the 2500-year old Swoyambhunath Stupa, the stupa of Boudhanath, Namo Buddha, and the Sacred Garden of Lumbini with its ancient pond and monasteries.

Visit famous Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Stupa also referred to as a ” Monkey temple”.
Afternoon, visit Patan Durbar Square. Patan has a long Buddhist influence and the four corners of the city are marked by Stupas said to have been created by great Buddhist emperor around 250 BC.

Drive to Namo Buddha
The pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha is about forty kilometers from the Boudhanath Stupa. Located on slightly elevated land, it is a pleasant and out-of-the way place. The landscape below resembles an eight-petaled lotus, and the sky above has the form of a wheel with nine spokes.
Afternoon tour of Boudhanath Stupa. This is the largest stupa in Nepal and one of the largest in the world. It is the sacred place for Buddhist pilgrims.
Continue on to Kopan Monastery
One of the most popular monasteries of Tibetan Buddhism is the Kapan Monastery which is perched on a hill not far north of Boudha. Each year a large number of foreigners arrive here to study Buddhism and meditation.

Transfer to domestic airport in Kathmandu and fly to Bhairawaha. Upon arrival in Bhairawaha, transfer to your hotel in Lumbini.
Rest of the day is at leisure.

Full day guided sightseeing around- visit the most popular Peace Pagoda, Lumbini Garden, Maya Devi Temple, Tara Foundation, World China Temple, Thai Monastery, Burmese (Myanmar) Temple, Nepal Buddha Temple and Dharmaswami Buddhist monastery.

Meal/s: Breakfast, Cultural Dinner
Transfer to Bhairawaha airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel.
Rest of the day is free (possibilities of optional activities)
Evening, transfer to an authentic Nepali restaurant for a farewell dinner with cultural shows. After dinner transfer back to the hotel.

There are direct flights to Nepal from Kuala Lumpur, Delhi, Dubai, Doha, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Mumbai, Bangalore, China, Dhaka, Muscat and Istanbul. Flights to Nepal are expensive as it does not lie on any major transit route, particularly during the peak tourist season (March till May) and (October to November).
Nepal is 5 hours 45 minutes ahead of GMT & 15 minutes ahead of Indian Standard Time.
Nepal extends trouble-free issuance of visa to all the citizens. Except for Indian tourist all nationals will require a valid passport. The tourist visas can easily be obtained at the airport or any entry point upon arrival. They have to fill up the application form and submit it together with a photograph.

Nepalese currency notes are available in 20, 50, 10, 500 and 1,000 rupee denominations.
Indian notes of 200, 500, 1000, and 2000 are banned in Nepal. All hotels, restaurants, shopping centers will accept USD currency. However, please note the USD currency should be new and it should not be tampered in any way. Visa, Master Card, American Express are widely acceptable in hotels, restaurants and shopping centers.
Saturday is the weekly holiday. Most of the shops remain closed on Saturdays. Sunday is normal working day in Nepal. Embassies remain closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and on public holidays.
Shopping can also be very gratifying and exciting in Nepal (especially Kathmandu & Pokhara). There are numbers tourists’ shops with tempting clothes, typical Nepalese craft, beautiful potteries and even gems & jewelries. Singing bowls are likewise a famous souvenir.
Tipping is not mandatory, however the guides, drivers who are involved in your tours do expect some tips. If you are very much satisfied by the service provided by your guide and driver you may tip them. The information regarding tipping will be provided prior to your commencement of the trip.
We recommend that the clients get themselves immunized against certain illness that are not prevalent in their home country such as Cholera, Typhoid, Malaria, Meningitis, Hepatitis etc; Your physician would be best to advise you the best suggestion of these inoculations. Make sure the water you consume is boiled & filtered.
